Case Study: City of Chesterfield
FileWay automates the process of preparing for our city council meetings
The City of Chesterfield, Missouri is located just about 25 minutes west of downtown St. Louis, along the Interstate 64/U.S. Highway 40 corridor. Our city was formed in 1988 by citizens who cared deeply about the area and about the quality of life in the area.
We have peaceful residential neighbourhoods, bustling shopping areas, beautifully designed business establishments, and well-laid-out parks and pathways. Our City is served by two excellent school districts as well as several outstanding private schools.
Preparing for our city council meetings used to be a tedious job; it involved printing 10 or more packages each containing over 200 pages. We replaced the paper by providing city councillors with iPads and using FileWay combined with the GoodReader App to push the required data onto the iPads before each meeting. The process occurs automatically and is hassle-free. We configured the GoodReader App to use the FileWay Drive feature to sync with specific folders on our internal server. When we place documents in those folders, GoodReader with the use of FileWay Drive, automatically pushes the data to the iPads. We found FileWay to be easy to deploy and scale.
Along with providing city council with the required data for their meetings, we use FileWay to provide our 220 users with secure remote access to their data from anywhere and using any device.
We also use the AttachLink feature for transferring large plans and files to/from vendors and consultants which keeps those large files out of our email system.
“FileWay provides us with a secure and reliable way to access our files from outside of our network. Combining that feature with AttachLink and the ability to view these files on our iPads, FileWay has proven to be very valuable.
