FileWay for OWA
Remote File Access For OWA
FileWay Adds Remote File Access to OWA
FileWay integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) to create secure, access to documents with no need for VPN. Our software supports OWA 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016, and provides users with a single point of access, and a single sign-on to both emails and files.
FileWay integrates with OWA to allow users access their Windows UNC file shares directly from their OWA window. Users simply click on the FileWay icon, and a new window allows direct access to their network file shares. The single-sign-on (SSO) between OWA and FileWay means that users do not need to re-authenticate to launch FileWay.
Why Should FileWay
be your remote OWA solution?
- FileWay is a two-way solution.
OWA 2007 is a one-way solution, only allowing for files to be downloaded. With FileWay, you can upload and download files.
- FileWay enables specific share access by groups or individuals.
OWA 2007 can only grant global share access to all of its users, whereas with FileWay you can enable specific share access for groups or individuals.
- FileWay enables simple browse and click for shares.
OWA 2007 requires users to type the full UNC path to each and every share. With FileWay remote OWA, you can simply browse and click!
- FileWay works with different platforms and multiple browser types.
OWA 2007 only supports Internet Explorer 7 (and higher) on Windows. FileWay can be accessed on both Windows and Apple computers, and supports Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
- FileWay is accessed directly … or through OWA or SharePoint.
In OWA 2007, the remote file access functionality only works with OWA. In OWA 2010, 2013 and 2016, the remote file access functionality has been removed completely. FileWay can be accessed through OWA (2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016), SharePoint, or directly from any browser and mobile device.
